Cheddar Bay Biscuits Stuffed with Crab & Drizzled with Lemon Butter

 

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crab Filling:
In a bowl, mix together crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, parsley, and lemon zest until smooth and well combined.

2. Make the Biscuit Dough:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and garlic powder.
  • Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Stir in cheddar cheese.
  • Gradually add buttermilk, mixing until just combined.

3. Assemble the Biscuits:
Scoop a portion of dough, flatten slightly, add crab filling in the center, and seal the edges. Place each biscuit on the prepared baking sheet.

4. Bake:
Bake 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown.

5. Make the Lemon Butter Sauce:
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and stir in lemon juice, garlic powder, and parsley.

6. Serve:
Brush warm biscuits with lemon butter sauce and serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
