Preparation:
1 Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
2 Cream the butter and sugar in a bowl until creamy.
3 Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix well until smooth.
4 Combine the flour and baking powder and fold in.
5 Add the desiccated coconut and coconut milk and mix everything into a smooth batter.
6 Spread the batter evenly on the baking sheet and bake for about 25–30 minutes, until the cake is light golden brown.
7 Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
8 Melt the dark chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave and pour it evenly over the cake.
9 Sprinkle with desiccated coconut, if desired, cut into pieces, and enjoy.
