Coffee Cake Made With Apple Pie Filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt together; set aside.
  3. In a separate large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until creamy and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each, then blend in the vanilla.
  5. Slowly incorporate the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk and brewed coffee—beginning and ending with the dry mixture.
  6. Spread half the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Spoon the apple pie filling evenly across the first layer of batter.
  8. Pour the remaining batter on top, smoothing it gently.
  9. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let the cake cool for about 15 minutes before slicing.
  11. Optional: Dust with powdered sugar or finish with a simple glaze for added sweetness.
