1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) to ensure it’s well prepared.
2. Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel to ensure the fillet cooks perfectly. Place the salmon skin-side down on a baking sheet.
3. In a small bowl, combine jerk seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste. This will give the fish your own personal touch.
4. Spread the seasoning evenly over the salmon, making sure to coat every part of it.
5. Heat the butter and oil together in a pan over medium heat. Carefully place the salmon skin-side down. Sear for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until the surface is golden brown.
6. Transfer the seared salmon to the preheated oven and cook for 10 to 12 minutes. It’s done when you can easily pull it apart with a fork.
7. Serve the beautifully arranged salmon with fresh lemon wedges and savor every forkful.
