LEKKER EASY TUNA FISH CAKES

Mix It All Together
In a large bowl, combine the tuna, mashed potatoes, chopped onion, egg, parsley, lemon juice, garlic powder, and breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper. Mix until it all holds together nicely. If too wet, add a bit more breadcrumbs.

Shape the Cakes
Form the mixture into patties (about the size of your palm). Lightly coat each one in breadcrumbs for a crispy finish.

Fry ‘Em Up
Heat a few tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the cakes for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and heated through.

Serve & Enjoy
Serve hot with sweet chili sauce, lemon wedges, or a quick side salad. Also great in a roll with some mayo and lettuce!

📝 Tips:

No potatoes? Use crushed crackers, oats, or even cooked rice as a binder.

Make it spicy: Add chopped chili or a dash of peri-peri sauce.

Air fryer? Cook at 180°C (356°F) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway.
