Mix the meatloaf-style patty blend:
In a bowl, whisk the egg, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire, and seasonings.
Stir in breadcrumbs and onions.
Add the ground beef and mix just until combined (don’t overwork it).
Form into patties:
Divide into 4 equal portions.
Form into patties slightly larger than your buns (they’ll shrink a bit when cooked).
Cook the patties:
Grill or pan-fry over medium heat, about 4–5 minutes per side, until the internal temp hits 160°F (71°C).
Optional: Add cheese in the last minute and cover to melt.
Toast the buns:
Lightly toast on the grill or pan with a bit of butter for extra flavor.
Assemble the burger:
Bottom bun → ketchup or glaze → lettuce → meatloaf burger → toppings → top bun.
🔄 Variations:
Spicy: Add hot sauce or diced jalapeños to the meat mix.
Mini sliders: Make smaller patties for party-friendly sliders.
Turkey version: Substitute with ground turkey and use sautéed onions and a touch of poultry seasoning.
Want a glaze like classic meatloaf? Mix:
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp mustard
Brush over the patties in the last 2 minutes of cooking.
