Directions

1. Preheat and Prepare

Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Mix the Pecan Filling

In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt together. Stir in the pecans so they’re fully coated.

3. Assemble the Layers

Pour the pecan mixture into the baking dish.
Evenly scatter the dry yellow cake mix over the top.
Gently press the cake mix down with the back of a spoon—do not mix it in.

4. Bake

Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the surface is golden and crisp while the inside remains slightly gooey.

5. Cool and Serve

Let the dump cake rest for a few minutes before slicing. For an extra treat, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
