Preparing the pastry: Roll out one sheet of puff pastry and spread it evenly with crème fraîche or cream cheese.
Filling: Top the puff pastry with ham, then slices of cheese.
Sealing: Place the second sheet of puff pastry on top and press lightly.
Cutting: Cut into strips or rectangles using a pizza cutter or a sharp knife.
Brushing: Brush the pieces with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.
Baking: Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 18 to 20 minutes, until golden brown.
