The quickest puff pastry appetizer

Preheat oven to 200ยฐC (conventional) or 180ยฐC (fan-assisted).

Roll out the puff pastry and cut into rectangles or circles (e.g., using a glass cutter).

Slightly score the edges to allow them to rise nicely.

Place the cheese in the center of the pastry pieces.

Drizzle with a little honey or place half a tomato on top.

Season with thyme, salt, and pepper.

If desired, brush the edges with egg yolk/milk for a golden brown finish.

Bake: about 10โ€“15 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and risen.
