These super cute chicks are not only a real eye-catcher at any party, they are also super easy to make!

1. Boil the eggs: Hard-boil the eggs in a saucepan (about 10 minutes). Then rinse with cold water and let cool completely.
2. Hollow out the eggs: Peel the cooled eggs and carefully cut off the top of the egg to create a kind of “lid.” Remove the egg yolk from the egg with a teaspoon and place it in a bowl.
3. Prepare the filling: Whisk the egg yolk with the mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard, salt, and pepper until creamy. Pour this mixture into the hollowed-out eggs using a spoon or piping bag.
4. Decorate: Cut small beaks and legs from the carrots and stick them into the eggs. This will give the chicks a cute face. Use the peppercorns for the eyes.
5. Serve: Place the eggs on a plate so the chicks are standing upright. You can place the cut-off “lids” on the chicks like hats to complete the dish.

Tip:
You can prepare the chicks in advance and store them in the refrigerator. They’re not only a feast for the eyes, but also a delicious snack that will delight young and old alike!
Enjoy!
