Dulce de Leche & Fresh Strawberry Jelly

βοΈ Resting time: Minimum 4 hours in the refrigerator
π§Ύ Ingredients:
500 ml whole milk
400 ml sweetened condensed milk
300 g dulce de leche (dulce de leche jam)
2 sachets of powdered gelatin (2 x 7 g) or 12 gelatin sheets
60 ml cold water (to rehydrate the gelatin)
A few whole fresh strawberries for decoration π
(Optional) 1 tbsp. 1 tsp vanilla extract
π©βπ³ Preparation steps:
π₯ Rehydrate the gelatin:
If using powdered gelatin, pour it into cold water and let it swell for 5 to 10 minutes.
If using leaves, soak them in cold water until softened.
π₯ Heat the milk base:
In a saucepan, heat the whole milk with the sweetened condensed milk, dulce de leche, and vanilla over medium heat.
Stir well until the mixture is smooth and homogeneous, without bringing it to a boil.
β¨ Stir in the gelatin:
Off the heat, add the swollen gelatin (or squeezed out if using leaves) to the hot mixture.
Whisk well until it melts completely.
