50g of butter – The butter adds a touch of indulgence and melt-in-your-mouth texture.
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract – Vanilla brings a sweet and subtle flavor that perfumes the cake.
50g of raisins (optional) – Raisins add a touch of sweetness and a slightly chewy texture.
Zest of 1/2 lemon (optional) – Lemon zest brings a fresh and slightly tangy note that contrasts with the sweetness of the cake.

In a saucepan, pour the milk, sugar, vanilla extract and, if desired, lemon zest.
Heat over medium heat until the mixture begins to simmer.

Cook over low heat for 5 minutes , until the mixture thickens slightly.

Add the butter, cut into small pieces.
Mix until the butter is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.

Gradually pour the beaten eggs into the warm mixture, stirring quickly with a whisk.
It is important that the mixture is lukewarm and not hot to avoid cooking the eggs too quickly.

Mix gently to distribute them evenly in the mixture.
6. Baking the semolina cake
Pour the mixture into the greased mold.
Smooth the surface with a spatula.
Bake at 180°C for approximately 35 minutes .
The cake is ready when the top is lightly golden and it is firm to the touch.

Let the cake cool in the mold for 15 minutes before removing it from the mold.
Serve it warm or cold, according to your preference.
